The primary responsibility of this position is to maintain and repair the machines that head, gut, and skin fish. Special training on the machine is given by the factory. Specific duties include training Baader machine operators in safe and efficient operation, participating in and training operators in cleaning activities, repairing and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems of all Baader machines, communicating with quality control and production personnel to ensure highest yield values are achieved, making adjustments to machines to ensure high yields, completing related maintenance documentation, setting and adjusting spike chain guides, knives, and sliding blocks, testing machines to verify step motors and tooling are set up and running properly, and utilizing downtime to maintain machines mechanically and electrically to prevent downtime during production. This role is responsible for a 12-hour shift maintaining production with Baader equipment, communicating and training upcoming technical personnel, greasing machines daily, and changing and sharpening knives daily. The ability to speak and communicate in English is required.
