We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Azure Oracle Database Engineer to join our Technology team. This role is in Lake Mary, FL and Pittsburgh, PA. In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: Design, operate, and secure Azure Oracle database services, managing Oracle database platforms in Azure (both Infrastructure as a Service and Exadata) to enable highly available and high-performing database servers for business-critical applications Provision, configure, and maintain Oracle database servers (versions 19c or 23ai), enforce least privilege access via role assignments and security groups, and manage Oracle database vault privileges Develop and maintain baseline configurations including encryption at rest, auditing, threat detection, backup/restore, retention, and access parameters; configure and optimize Active Data Guard and Oracle Golden Gate for resiliency and replication Plan and document database patching, diagnostics, repair activities, and implement secure media handling and sanitization practices; configure Azure-native monitoring and logging for database identity/access and operational events to support audit readiness

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10 - 12 years of related infrastructure experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and operating secure Oracle database environments at scale, including managing Oracle database instances on Exadata appliances (X10M or higher)
  • Proven capability to govern elevated access, emergency access workflows, incident handling, and post-event reviews
  • Proficiency with managed identities for applications, Azure configuration baselines, resource tagging, and integration of Azure monitoring/logging with approval and incident workflows
  • Strong documentation and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across engineering, security, and operations teams

Nice To Haves

  • Experience integrating identity/access workflows with enterprise approval systems and incident/ticketing processes
  • Exposure to data classification/discovery tooling and secure media handling for database backups and exports
  • Familiarity with CI/CD guardrails for secret management and application to database identity patterns
