Our mission is to craft exceptional event experiences that connect, engage, and inspire. Peak Technologies is seeking a strategic, hands-on executive to lead and scale our Production Department. The VP, Production will oversee general sessions, keynotes, breakout programs, proprietary events, scenic integrations, and large-scale special events. This role combines executive leadership, operational excellence, and direct accountability for financial performance, team development, and on-site execution across live, hybrid, and immersive event environments.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in large-scale live event production, AV integration, or entertainment production.
  • Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary production teams and P&L accountability.
  • Hands-on expertise with general session production, scenic integration, LED/video systems, audio, lighting, rigging, and hybrid/broadcast production.
  • Advanced technical skills in Vectorworks, CAD, Adobe Illustrator/Acrobat, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong executive presence, strategic thinking, and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently and work on-site in Las Vegas or Toronto.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement a scalable production strategy aligned with Peak’s growth objectives.
  • Partner with Sales and Business Development on RFPs, complex bids, and client pitches.
  • Introduce technical innovations, new service offerings, and operational efficiencies to drive revenue and margin expansion.
  • Serve as senior production authority in client presentations and high-profile events.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team: Project Managers, Producers, Technical Directors, Show Callers, Stage Managers, and Engineers.
  • Establish performance standards, KPIs, SOPs, and workflows.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top-tier production talent while fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
  • Oversee end-to-end production for general sessions, keynotes, multi-room breakouts, scenic and LED-integrated environments, and special events.
  • Translate creative concepts into executable technical plans and ensure integration of audio, video, lighting, rigging, and content playback workflows.
  • Act as senior escalation point for production risks or execution challenges.
  • Own department P&L and enforce margin targets across all projects.
  • Approve scopes, labor models, estimates, and budgets; monitor forecasting and post-event reconciliation.
  • Optimize equipment and labor utilization, manage vendor relationships, and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Recommend capital investments in LED, audio, lighting, scenic, and hybrid/broadcast technologies.
  • Balance rental vs. ownership strategies to maximize ROI.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to improve deployment efficiency.
