About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Azure Linux & PaaS Platform Engineer to administer, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Linux-based workloads and Azure platform services. The ideal candidate will have strong Linux system administration experience, hands-on Azure IaaS and PaaS knowledge, automation skills, security awareness, and the ability to support application teams across infrastructure, networking, identity, monitoring, and managed platform services.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience supporting Azure PaaS services such as Azure App Service, Azure SQL, Azure Database for PostgreSQL/MySQL, Azure Storage, Azure Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Service Bus, and Azure Container Apps or AKS.
- Understanding of Azure PaaS networking, including Private Endpoints, Private DNS Zones, VNet integration, service endpoints, firewall rules, and hybrid connectivity.
- Experience troubleshooting Linux-hosted applications, web services, certificates, identity/authentication flows, DNS, load balancing, and application performance issues.
- Familiarity with shared responsibility concepts across Azure IaaS and PaaS operating models.
Responsibilities
- Support Linux-based workloads running on Azure IaaS and Azure PaaS platforms, including Azure App Service on Linux, containers, managed databases, storage, identity, monitoring, and integration services.
- Troubleshoot Azure PaaS issues related to application connectivity, private endpoints, DNS resolution, managed identities, Key Vault access, certificates, scaling, performance, and platform diagnostics.
- Configure and support PaaS observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, diagnostic settings, alerts, and dashboards.
- Work with application and DevOps teams to support CI/CD deployments, infrastructure as code, release validation, and operational readiness.
- Support secure PaaS patterns, including RBAC, managed identities, Key Vault integration, private networking, NSGs, firewall rules, and least-privilege access.
- Assist with migration and modernization efforts from VM-hosted workloads to Azure managed services where appropriate.
