About The Position

The Azure Integration Developer designs, builds, deploys, and supports cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. This hands-on engineering role involves daily coding and Azure resource configuration across the integration and application stack, including Logic Apps, Azure Functions, API Management, Event Grid, and Service Bus. Infrastructure is defined in Terraform and delivered through automated pipelines. The developer takes work from design through production and provides ongoing support by creating workflows and C# code, defining Azure resources, implementing telemetry, and diagnosing issues. The role is part of an integration team and operates within an established architecture and set of standards.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of software development experience, mainly with industry-standard integration tools, including at least 2 years focused specifically on Microsoft Azure integration.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, API Management, Event Grid, and Service Bus.
  • Proficiency in C#/.NET, including writing and unit-testing production code.
  • Mid-level database expertise writing and tuning SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and views, with understanding of transactions, concurrency, and data integrity.
  • Azure infrastructure and security knowledge covering subscriptions and accounts, resource groups, roles and role-based access control, Key Vault, managed identities, Entra ID, and least-privilege access.
  • Deployment experience using Terraform or an equivalent infrastructure-as-code tool and CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
  • Git source-control experience, including branching, pull-request review, and merge discipline within a team.
  • Monitoring and diagnostics experience using Application Insights and Log Analytics.
  • Strong understanding of error handling, retry strategies, and idempotency in distributed systems, including duplicate or out-of-order messages.
  • Ability to debug problems in systems the candidate did not create or build, using logs and data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including explaining technical concepts to people with different backgrounds.
  • Self-directed within a defined architecture, able to own work end to end and know when to ask rather than assume.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft Azure certifications, such as AZ-204.
  • Salesforce experience, such as platform familiarity, REST API, SOQL, or integrating Salesforce with other systems.
  • Financial systems knowledge, including invoices, receivables, payments, and the general ledger.
  • Experience with AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude, Gemini CLI, or Cursor.
  • Experience with Azure Durable Functions, ETL and data-pipeline work, containers, or PowerShell and Azure CLI automation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Azure Logic Apps integration workflows, including stateful orchestrations, connectors, and error-handling paths.
  • Write and maintain C#/.NET code running as Azure Functions or alongside Logic Apps for data transformation, request construction, and response parsing.
  • Configure Azure API Management, including APIs, operations, policies, named values, subscriptions, and backend routing; build event-driven solutions with Event Grid and Service Bus.
  • Consume and build REST and SOAP APIs using OAuth 2.0, bearer-token, and API-key authentication.
  • Design and maintain Azure SQL database objects, including queries, stored procedures, triggers, and views; use Azure Storage for persistence, staging, and queueing.
  • Define Azure infrastructure as code in Terraform and deliver it through automated CI/CD pipelines.
  • Instrument solutions with Application Insights and create queries and alert rules to identify failures.
  • Track real-time transactions and implement retry and backoff, idempotent processing, and safe handling of duplicate or out-of-order messages.
  • Work with the integration team and business stakeholders to turn requirements into technical designs, raise design concerns before implementation, and explain technical trade-offs to non-technical audiences.
  • Document solutions and keep documentation current as code changes.
  • Work effectively with distributed teammates across time zones.
  • Adhere to company Best Practices.
