About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Azure Foundry Engineer to design, build, and operationalize AI solutions using Azure AI Foundry and the broader Microsoft AI ecosystem. This is a short-term engagement (approximately one month) focused on standing up a new AI Foundry environment from the ground up and delivering a working solution overview upon completion. The ideal candidate can move quickly and independently to build a functional foundation with minimal ramp-up time.

Requirements

Hands-on experience with Azure AI Foundry.
Experience with Azure OpenAI Service and Azure Machine Learning.
Experience configuring and managing LLMs and prompt orchestration.
Experience integrating AI solutions with Azure services, APIs, and enterprise systems.
Experience implementing RAG architectures and vector databases.
Development experience in Python, C#, or a similar language.
Experience with Azure security and DevOps practices.
Strong technical judgment and ability to work independently with minimal setup time.
Fast learner comfortable operating in ambiguous, early-stage environments.
Strong communication skills to deliver clear solution overviews to stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with a focus on security, governance, and scalability.
Comfortable delivering results within a compressed, short-term timeline.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and API Management.
Experience working on short-cycle, fast-turnaround engagements.
Experience establishing new AI environments or tenants from scratch.

Responsibilities

Develop and deploy generative AI solutions using Azure AI Foundry.
Configure and manage large language models (LLMs), prompt orchestration, and AI applications.
Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures, vector databases, and knowledge retrieval solutions.
Integrate AI solutions with Azure services, APIs, and enterprise systems.
Build out the AI Foundry environment and tenant configuration from an initial baseline.
Establish security, monitoring, and governance controls for AI workloads.
Optimize model performance, cost, and scalability.
Provide a clear solution overview and documentation once the environment is built out.
Work independently to deliver a functional AI Foundry solution within a compressed timeline.
