About The Position

An Azure Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based infrastructure and services within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. While software developers focus on building applications, Azure engineers build and maintain the secure, scalable "digital world" that powers them.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python for task automation.
  • Deep understanding of VNETs, Subnets, NSGs, VPNs, and ExpressRoute.
  • Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes (AKS) and Docker containers.
  • Hands-on experience with IaaS (VMs, Networking) and PaaS (App Services, SQL, Functions).

Responsibilities

  • Provision and configure virtual machines (VMs), storage, and networking components.
  • Use Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates to automate deployments.
  • Implement identity management (Microsoft Entra ID), firewalls, and encryption to protect data.
  • Use Azure Monitor and Log Analytics to track performance and optimize cloud costs.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline application code releases using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
  • Design and maintain backup and failover strategies to ensure 99.99% system availability.
