About The Position
Genesis10 is seeking an Azure Data Engineer for a 12-month contract opportunity with a Global Financial Institution in Charlotte, NC. This role supports the design and development of a strategic data platform for Capital Markets and other securities teams, focusing on a data-driven approach and modernization of technology. The position is part of the Data Strategy team and involves active development on the client's Azure Cloud Platform.
Requirements
- 10 years of experience in software development using Python, PySpark and its frameworks.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer/Data Quality Engineer with experience in Azure cloud.
- Experience implementing solutions using Azure cloud services: Azure Data Factory, Azure Lake Gen 2, Azure Databases, and Azure Databricks.
- Experience with Data Quality Frameworks/Solutions such as Collibra Data Quality or other tools (IDQ/IBM/Ab-Initio).
- Knowledge of Collibra Data Governance and Data lineage.
- Experience with Power BI.
- Well versed with Azure Databricks.
- Strong SQL skills with RDBMS or NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with the DevOps lifecycle (git, Jenkins, etc) and CI/CD processes.
- Good understanding of ETL/ELT processes.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in financial services industry, financial instruments, asset classes and market data.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the development of the data platform, beginning with the establishment of a reference data system for securities and pricing data.
- Follow internal development standards to contribute to the overall agenda of the Data Strategy team.
- Implement solutions on the strategic platform on the client's Azure Cloud Platform.
