About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Data Engineer for a hybrid 6-month contract opportunity with a Global Financial Institution in Jersey City, NJ. This role is responsible for building scalable ingestion, transformation, and storage pipelines for large volumes of data. The ideal candidate will work with various platforms including DataBricks Medallion Layers, Azure Data Factory, and SQL Server to support a Metrics Repository and the onboarding of new datasets.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in a data engineering role
• Proficiency with Python and SQL
• Experience with cloud data tools, specifically Azure Data Factory
• Experience with DataBricks Medallion Layers

Responsibilities

• Build systems that gather, store, and process large volumes of data for analysis
• Develop scalable ETL, ingestion, transformation, and storage pipelines
• Ensure data quality and optimize data storage solutions
• Support the Metrics Repository and the onboarding of new datasets
