About The Position

Coretek is seeking an Azure Data & AI Consultant to design, implement, and optimize modern data and AI solutions on Microsoft Azure. The consultant partners with clients to modernize data platforms, enable advanced analytics, and deliver AI-driven insights that support business transformation. The role builds scalable data pipelines, integrates AI services, and ensures solutions follow industry best practices. It requires technical expertise in Azure data services, experience integrating AI, and effectiveness in a client-facing consulting environment.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or AI, with hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of Python for data processing and AI tasks.
• Hands-on experience with at least two Azure data services, such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Azure SQL, or Cosmos DB.
• Familiarity with Azure AI services, including Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, and Cognitive Services.
• Experience developing Power BI solutions for advanced analytics and data storytelling.
• Understanding of modern data architectures, including data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time streaming solutions.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and security best practices.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for client-facing engagements.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with event-driven architectures using Azure Event Hub, Service Bus, or Kafka.
• Familiarity with distributed computing and performance optimization in Databricks/Spark environments.
• Experience with consulting or client-facing project delivery.
• Exposure to ML Ops practices and operationalizing machine learning models.
• Azure certifications such as Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203), Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI-102), Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), or Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900).

Responsibilities

• Conduct client workshops, gather requirements, and present solutions to technical and business audiences.
• Design and implement Azure data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, and Azure database systems such as SQL, Cosmos DB, and Postgres.
• Build ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and integrate large volumes of structured and unstructured data from diverse sources.
• Use Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, Azure Machine Learning, and Cognitive Services to deliver intelligent business solutions.
• Collaborate with architects on scalable, secure, high-performance Azure Data & AI architectures.
• Implement version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automation using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Bicep, Terraform, and other Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and security requirements, including RBAC, encryption, and identity management.
• Develop advanced reporting and interactive Power BI dashboards to provide stakeholders with actionable insights.
• Mentor junior team members, contribute to internal best practices, and stay current with Azure Data & AI innovations.
