About The Position

The Cloud Engineering team is responsible for new Azure initiatives across the organization and owns several complex Azure services, including Front Door, Azure Application Gateways, and Azure DNS. The team partners with architects to determine how new tools and products should be implemented, then creates Terraform modules that other teams can use for repeatable implementations. The team also owns and operates the organization's AKS platform using Terraform, GitHub, and GitHub Actions. This is a hands-on engineering role with some light architecture work, partnering closely with the SRE team that supports services after implementation. The position is contract to hire, based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and hybrid, with four days per week on site.

Requirements

At least 5 years of Azure platform engineering experience.
Strong Terraform experience, including writing modules from scratch and modifying existing modules.
Cloud-native Kubernetes experience.

Nice To Haves

AKS experience is strongly preferred; EKS or GKS experience is acceptable.
