About The Position

This Expert-Level Technical Architect supports the application system development, enhancement and maintenance work assigned to the GIS Unit. This resource is responsible for supporting the design and development of GIS application components in the current Enterprise GIS, Roads and Highways, Spot Online, NC CRIS, and ATLAS implementation to include migration of some components to Azure Cloud. Expected Skills: Able to work without assistance; can provide leadership to others; able to manage highly complex work efforts; may have advanced education; may have extensive industry experience.

Requirements

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• 3 Years Experience and knowledge in information system architecture, system design patterns, and integration
• 7 Years Experience and knowledge in Azure cloud infrastructure as a service.
• 3 Years Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and services to include windows servers, IIS
• 7 Years Experience and knowledge of web technology include n-tier architecture, REST, SOA, JavaScript, HTML5, and HTTP.
• 5 Years Windows PowerShell (v5.1) and PowerShell Core (v7+)
• 2 Years Experience and knowledge of Windows package deployment (MSI)
• 2 Years Experience and knowledge of SSL Certificates.
• 5 Years Experience using common Windows application protocols such as Active Directory, Authentication and Authorization (ADFS, Kerberos, SSPI, etc.), CIFS, H
• 3 Years Considerable experience and knowledge of principles and concepts of information system security, good practice and security analysis
• 7 Years Deep knowledge of Windows software deployment architecture (MSI)
• Experience and knowledge in information system architecture, system design patterns, and integration with a concentration on Azure Cloud infrastructure as a service.
• Experience and knowledge of web technology include n-tier architecture, REST, SOA, JavaScript, HTML5, and HTTP.
• Experience and knowledge of Windows PowerShell 5.1 and PowerShell 7+.
• Experience and knowledge of Windows package deployment (MSI).
• Experience and knowledge of SSL Certificates.
• Advanced understanding of segmented network and firewall rules in a secured environment
• Experience with the development and maintenance of strategies, technical standards, reference architectures, architecture patterns.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and services to include windows servers, IIS, Share point
• Experience using common Windows application protocols such as Active Directory, Authentication and Authorization (ADFS, Kerberos, SSPI, etc.), CIFS, HTTP(S), LDAP, SSL, TLS, SSH, IPSEC
• Considerable experience and knowledge of principles and concepts of information system security, good practice and security analysis

Nice To Haves

• 2 Years Expertise in WIndows Registry
• 2 Years UML Modeling
• Experience and knowledge of Windows Registry.
