About The Position

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking an AZ Truck Driver for our Niagara Falls team. This position reports to the Fleet Manager and is based out of our Niagara Falls, Ontario office. The role requires travel to various work locations throughout the Greater Toronto Area using a company vehicle during work hours.

Requirements

  • Valid Class AZ Driver's License.
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Training Certificate.
  • Proficient with driving manual transmission
  • Strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must have a reliable form of transportation
  • Must be willing to provide an abstract for driving record
  • Must be willing to have a background check completed
  • Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis
  • Ability to work overtime on a regular basis
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada without future sponsorship

Nice To Haves

  • The Driver position frequently handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste. This role is considered safety-sensitive

Responsibilities

  • Overall operation of fleet logistical equipment, in compliance with the Company’s Health and Safety policies and procedures, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, the Highway Traffic Act, the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act, O. Reg 347 of the Environmental Protection Act, and all other applicable laws and regulations.
  • Operating AZ class tractor trailer combinations including dry vans, vacuum tankers, roll-off trailer and dump trailer.
  • Operating DZ class straight truck equipment.
  • Operating G Class straight truck equipment.
  • Compliant completion of all movement documentation, including work orders, bills of lading and waste manifests.
  • Compliant application of TDG safety marks on all means of containment, including labels and placards.
  • Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods from Canada to the United States, ensuring compliance with all cross-border regulations, customs procedures, and company policies.
  • Manual self-loading and unloading of containerized waste materials for transport.
  • Responsible for the loading process, load securement, and for its safety during transport.
  • Be presentable, industrious and professional on customer sites, engaging clients with courtesy.
  • Faithfully, industriously and to the best of your skill, ability, and experience, perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
  • Comply with all Company policies, procedures, rules and regulations, both written and oral, as announced by the Company from time to time.
