The primary role of a Vacuum Operator is to operate Vacuum Trucks (liquid and turbo) for various Industrial customers. Key Responsibilities: Liquid Vacuum Trucks – Drive and perform major duties independently including the liquid transfer of material from one vessel to another location Turbo Vacuum Trucks – Drive and perform major duties with the assistance of a Utility Operator Understand and complete required documentation such as waste manifests, bills of lading etc. Responsible for obtaining and completing customer safe work permits and any additional required documents for hauling materials Perform the set-up and take down of equipment required for the job Perform the vacuuming of actual material from the job site Advise the Utility Operator on the proper equipment needed on the truck to complete the job (i.e. hoses, fittings etc.) Conduct pre-trip inspection of each vehicle (i.e. check fluid levels, oil, anti-freeze etc.) Diagnose and report any vehicle mechanical issues to the mechanic Conduct yard checks Provide input and recommendations to management on processes and procedures Perform general housekeeping on a daily basis Other assignments as directed by the Supervisor / Foreman
