About The Position

The Driver CDL A - Mobile Storage is responsible for safely delivering, setting, and picking up storage containers, ground-level office units and office trailers using company-provided roll-off or tilt-bed trucks. This position plays a key role in representing the company at customer job sites by ensuring professional interaction, documenting deliveries accurately, and following all safety and DOT requirements. Drivers also support yard operations as needed, including cleaning, basic repairs, and organizing equipment. In the Driver CDL A position, drivers are permitted to operate heavy equipment such as semi-trucks and trailers (“low boys”) consistent with DOT classification CDL-A.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of DOT regulated driving experience
  • Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record meeting DOT standards
  • Ability to perform physical work, including climbing, lifting, and use of tools for set-up and leveling.
  • Commitment to safe work practices, quality service, and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Clear DOT drug test history.
  • Knowledge of GVW’s, state regulations regarding height and weight maximums.
  • Knowledge of winch operations, HAZMAT transport, placarding.
  • HAZMAT endorsement/OSHA familiarity/training.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver, set, and pick up storage containers, ground level offices, and office trailers using roll off or tilt bed equipment in a safe, efficient, and courteous manner.
  • Perform accurate and timely pre trip and post trip vehicle inspections, maintaining driver logs and required DOT documentation.
  • Safely block, level, set up and secure units onsite in accordance with company and customer requirements.
  • Interact personably and professionally with customers on job sites; confirm placement, inspect location for safety and accessibility, and ensure satisfaction before departure.
  • Follow company and OSHA safety standards, DOT regulations, and equipment handling procedures at all times.
  • Assist in the yard or shop as business needs require, including cleaning, inspecting, organizing, and performing minor repairs to containers and mobile offices, completing inventory, and other duties as assigned.
  • Collaborate with branch operations and dispatch teams to coordinate delivery and pickup schedules, and report any delays, site issues, equipment issues, or safety concerns.
  • Maintain a clean and professional vehicle appearance, representing the company’s service standards and values.
