About The Position

We are looking for customer-oriented, motivated individuals to join our professional team. Applicants should currently be residing in Canada and legally entitled to work. This role involves delivering a diverse fleet of heavy-duty construction equipment to customer jobsites, performing vehicle inspections, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Currently residing in Canada and legally entitled to work.
  • Valid Class AZ driver’s license with a driver’s abstract (no more than three demerit points).
  • Comfortable with working outdoors year-round and driving in varying weather / road conditions.
  • Comfortable with manual transmission.
  • Comfortable with city driving.
  • Highly safety-focused and professional; take pride in your vehicle and your responsibility as a driver.
  • Experience with operation, load securement and transportation of heavy-duty construction equipment on flat-bed trucks is required.
  • Available and willing to work overtime when required and on an on-call rotation if required.
  • Flexibility and adaptability; must be comfortable with adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organization skills.
  • Strong team-player with effective communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and colleagues.
  • Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as with a team.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a diverse fleet of heavy-duty construction equipment to customer jobsites, including (but not limited to) excavators, dozers, articulated dump trucks, wheel loaders, loader backhoes to and from jobsites.
  • Load and unload equipment; secure loaded equipment per company safe work procedures and inspect in transit if necessary.
  • Perform vehicle inspections daily, as well as checking gas, oil and other fluid levels.
  • Secure customer signature on contract, if not already signed.
  • Inform supervisor of difficulties with deliveries or pickups.
  • Inform management of new sales opportunities and job sites.
  • Double check delivered items to make sure customers receive exactly what they ordered.
  • Communicate with your branch if behind schedule, so customers may be notified.
  • Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records.
  • If equipment is missing or broken upon pick up fill out the appropriate forms and get customer’s signature. Turn in these forms to Branch Manager, along with pick up sheets.
  • Tag and move broken equipment to repair area.
  • Provide basic instruction to customers on the safe operation of equipment if necessary.
  • Keep the truck in clean and professional condition at all times.
  • Complete daily accurate pre-inspections and post-inspections regulatory logs and timesheets.
