About The Position

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer with a strong background in Java, SpringBoot, and Python. This role requires a minimum of 6 years of development experience, with at least 5 years specifically in Java, SpringBoot, and Python. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in AWS Cloud Engineering, utilizing services such as Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB, SQS, EventBridge, and Kafka. This is an onsite position in Malvern, PA, requiring at least 3 days per week in the office.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of development experience.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Java, SpringBoot, and Python.
  • Experience in AWS Cloud Engineering with services such as Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB, SQS, EventBridge, Kafka.
  • Experience with Cucumber for Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
  • Experience with Mockito for unit testing.
  • Proficiency in both SQL and NoSQL databases, such as Aurora and DynamoDB.
  • Skilled in setting up CI/CD pipelines with tools like Bamboo, GitHub, and Docker.
  • Strong knowledge of Microservices architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of API Gateway for building scalable applications.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like Splunk, CloudWatch, Honeycomb.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain applications using Java, SpringBoot, and Python.
  • Design and implement cloud-native solutions on AWS, leveraging services like Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB, SQS, EventBridge, and Kafka.
  • Utilize Cucumber for Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Mockito for unit testing.
  • Work with both SQL and NoSQL databases, including Aurora and DynamoDB.
  • Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Bamboo, GitHub, and Docker.
  • Build scalable applications using Microservices architecture and API Gateway.
  • Implement and utilize monitoring and observability tools like Splunk, CloudWatch, and Honeycomb.
  • Collaborate within an agile development environment, employing Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
