AWS IAC Cloud Engineer
About The Position
AnaVation is seeking an experienced cloud engineer to maintain and improve a complex hybrid environment supporting a mission enterprise application. The environment includes AWS commercial accounts, a GitLab CI/CD pipeline across development, test, and production, and on-premises hardware. The position is based onsite in Quantico, Virginia, with hybrid options available after the employee has established themselves on the team. Regular onsite presence is required. Applicants outside commuting distance should explain how they would meet onsite requirements. The role requires an active Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain SCI access with a CI polygraph.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in cloud or relevant systems engineering.
- Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to complete a CI polygraph.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure with infrastructure as code.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments.
- Hands-on experience maintaining physical servers.
- Experience administering and patching Debian-based Linux and Windows systems.
Nice To Haves
- Terraform experience.
- ICAM experience.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Associate or higher.
- GitLab CI experience.
- Experience with containers, including Docker, Kubernetes, or EKS.
- Scripting experience with Python or Bash.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools.

- Atmos experience.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve AWS commercial infrastructure using infrastructure as code.
- Run and troubleshoot GitLab CI/CD pipelines across development, test, and production environments.
- Keep multiple environments stable, consistent, and functioning as expected.
- Rack, swap, and maintain on-premises servers.
- Patch and update on-premises Debian-based Linux systems.
- Support monitoring and logging to identify issues before users notice them.
