About The Position

Carilion, based in Roanoke, VA, is an award-winning, community-based network of hospitals, primary and specialty physician practices, and affiliations with prestigious academic medical institutions. They are looking for an AWS Data Engineer to join their Health Analytics team. This role involves working with stakeholders to understand and gather requirements for data engineering team members. The engineer will be responsible for creating new and maintaining dashboards using Tableau, providing visual insights into KPIs and business metrics. Additionally, the role requires using SQL to analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, ensuring data validation and accuracy.

Requirements

• 6+ years of Data Engineer experience working with Python
• Experience with Git/Git Actions
• Experience with AWS stack (Code commit, s3, Lamda, Code Repository, Code pipeline)
• Experience working with APIs
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines
• SQL proficiency

Nice To Haves

• Tableau experience
• Snowflake experience

Responsibilities
