About The Position

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Support Engineer for a long-term, hybrid contract opportunity in Phoenix, AZ. This role involves providing strong cloud support, leading calls to completion, and focusing heavily on AWS services. The ideal candidate will have experience with EKS Networking, EKS Clusters, and Kubernetes, with exposure to Azure and GCP environments. A solid understanding of databases is also required. This position requires availability for a weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday) one month out of every three, with flexibility for an additional day off provided.

Requirements

  • Strong Cloud support experience, supporting public cloud.
  • Strong AWS background.
  • Experience with EKS Networking, EKS Clusters, and Kubernetes.
  • Exposure to other environments like Azure and GCP.
  • Understanding of databases.
  • Ability to work a Saturday or Sunday shift 1 month out of 3 months.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS/GCP services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, ECS or EKS, RDS or DynamoDB, API Gateway, EventBridge, and CloudWatch, BigTable, BigQuery, Vertex AI, Gemini Assist.
  • Experience supporting production environments, incident management, change management, and root-cause analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of IAM roles and policies, least-privilege access, security groups, and network controls.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk, Dynatrace, or comparable platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation and scripting with Python, Bash, or AWS CLI.
  • Understanding of hybrid networking, including VPC routing, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, DNS, and network troubleshooting.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to varied audiences.
