About The Position

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Support Engineer to join our team. This role involves providing strong cloud support, leading calls to completion, and focusing heavily on AWS services. The engineer will work with EKS Networking, EKS Clusters, and Kubernetes, with exposure to Azure and GCP environments. A solid understanding of databases is required. This is a long-term W2 contract opportunity with a hybrid work model in Phoenix, AZ. The role requires flexibility for weekend shifts on a rotating basis.

Requirements

Strong cloud support experience, supporting public cloud and leading calls to completions.
Strong AWS background.
Experience with EKS Networking, EKS Clusters, and Kubernetes.
Exposure to other environments like Azure and GCP.
Understanding of databases.
Hands-on experience with AWS/GCP services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, ECS or EKS, RDS or DynamoDB, API Gateway, EventBridge, and CloudWatch, BigTable, BigQuery, Vertex AI, Gemini Assist.
Experience supporting production environments, incident management, change management, and root-cause analysis.
Strong knowledge of IAM roles and policies, least-privilege access, security groups, and network controls.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk, Dynatrace, or comparable platforms.
Working knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation and scripting with Python, Bash, or AWS CLI.
Understanding of hybrid networking, including VPC routing, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, DNS, and network troubleshooting.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to varied audiences.

Responsibilities

Provide strong cloud support, supporting public cloud environments.

Troubleshoot hybrid networking issues, including VPC routing, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, and DNS.
Communicate technical issues clearly, both verbally and in writing, to varied audiences.
