The Cybersecurity Architect will play an integral role with the execution of a key Federal program. Analyzes enterprise and AWS cloud architecture to identify security gaps and recommend improvements aligned with DoD and industry standards.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in cybersecurity architecture (cloud + enterprise)
  • Strong experience with AWS environments and DoD security requirements
  • CISSP (foundational requirement for most architect roles)
  • CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) – critical for AWS/cloud environments
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
  • AWS Certified Security – Specialty
  • Active TS/SCI with SCI Polygraph (or eligible)

Nice To Haves

  • SABSA (Security Architecture)
  • TOGAF (Enterprise Architecture)
  • CASP+ (CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner)

Responsibilities

  • Assess security architecture across enterprise systems and AWS cloud environments
  • Evaluate how AWS environments are governed, provisioned, operated, and consumed
  • Analyze architecture within AWS IL4 (or similar regulated environments)
  • Identify security gaps across: System design, Cloud configurations, Policy enforcement, Operational processes
  • Evaluate alignment with: AWS Well-Architected Framework, DoD and federal security guidance, Zero Trust and defense-in-depth principles
  • Provide target-state architecture recommendations
  • Support identification of policy, operational, and technical deficiencies
