About The Position

Guidehouse is seeking an AWS Cloud Platform Engineer to join our team. This role involves designing, building, and managing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud platform environments across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP. You will develop and maintain cloud platform services and landing zones, including networking, identity, compute, and storage components. A key part of this role is implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep to automate infrastructure provisioning. You will also build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and platform automation frameworks to enable consistent and repeatable deployments. Collaboration with application, DevOps, and security teams is essential for onboarding workloads and defining platform standards, guardrails, and best practices. Monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing platform performance, cost, and reliability using observability tools (logs, metrics, tracing) will be a daily task. You will implement and enforce security and compliance controls aligned to federal standards (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP). Supporting cloud migrations and modernization efforts, including rehost, re-platform, and re-architect initiatives, is also part of the responsibilities. Additionally, you will develop reusable platform modules, templates, and self-service capabilities for engineering teams and document platform architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
