About The Position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced Enterprise Sales Representative to focus on Higher Education customer accounts throughout Southern California. This role is part of a team focused on increasing the adoption of AWS in the higher education market. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background with a proven track record of exceeding quota, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to drive engagements at both the CXO level and with technical stakeholders. This is a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where you will be at the center of Amazon innovation.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives experience
  • 10+ years of business development, partner development, sales or alliances management experience
  • Sales experience with a terrific reputation for overachieving quota while focusing on the customer.
  • Self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute against a territory coverage plan and consistently deliver on quarterly revenue targets.
  • Both a sales and technical background that enables you to drive an engagement at the CXO level as well as with software developers and IT architects.
  • Exceptionally strong and creative thinker who thrives in a team environment and embraces all aspects of selling.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • 6+ years of building profitable partner ecosystems experience
  • 5+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience

Responsibilities

  • Utilize technical sales background to strategically engage at the CXO level, as well as with software developers and IT architects.
  • Develop and execute a fast-moving territory coverage plan.
  • Consistently deliver on quarterly revenue targets.
  • Drive business outcomes for customers.
  • Drive revenue and increase market share in a defined set of accounts.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets.
  • Develop and execute a plan to grow the AWS footprint within your set of accounts.
  • Manage numerous accounts concurrently and strategically.
  • Create and articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services.
  • Accelerate customer adoption through well-developed sales engagements and successful go-to-market strategy to achieve customer outcomes.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline.
  • Work with partners to extend reach and drive adoption.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Drive revenue, adoption, and market saturation in mid and small market accounts.
  • Develop a set of existing customers to increase adoption of Amazon Web Services.
