About The Position

The Awake Overnight Counselor provides guidance, supervision, and support during overnight hours while assisting individuals with morning routines and daily living activities. The counselor follows procedures that promote health, safety, well-being, and a clean and safe environment, supporting individuals in living healthy, productive, and independent lives. Counselors advocate for the people they serve and support meaningful community inclusion and engagement.

Its multidisciplinary teams tailor support to individuals’ needs, preferences, and aspirations, with a focus on independence, well-being, community engagement, and access to resources.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Reliability, willingness to learn, and openness to new opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance, supervision, and support during overnight hours.
• Assist individuals with morning routines and daily living activities.
• Follow procedures that promote health, safety, well-being, and a clean and safe environment.
• Use crisis intervention techniques and follow established program and agency procedures during emergencies or crisis situations.
• Implement individuals’ health, medical, and medication protocols in accordance with agency policies and applicable regulations.
• Assist individuals with accessing transportation and coordinate travel needs as required.
• Review, complete, and maintain required documentation accurately and on time.
• Advocate for individuals and support meaningful community inclusion and engagement.
