About The Position

SitusAMC is seeking an AVP, Asset Management to join the Warehouse Team, focusing on portfolio and asset management of a multi-billion-dollar portfolio of commercial real estate loans for private and public REITs, private equity and commercial real estate finance companies. This role involves working directly with premier institutional clients on the financing of commercial real estate transactions, primarily overseeing the portfolio of outstanding loans on warehouse lines. The portfolio consists predominantly of transitional floating rate loans, with some stable fixed rate assets. The position offers exposure to the full breadth of commercial real estate finance activities within a premier European-based global financial services institution's investment bank in New York City.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a highly regarded, accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of experience asset managing or underwriting commercial real estate loans.
  • Excellent communication skills, willingness to work as part of a larger team.
  • Detail oriented with very strong organizational skills.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong financial modelling / Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with market research sources such as RCA, CoStar, Reis, etc.
  • Experience with complex loan structures and documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Argus proficiency is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with public and private REITs, private equity firms and commercial real estate finance companies in the acquisition, refinancing and development of commercial real estate across all asset types.
  • Review monthly property level financial statements and rent rolls, as well as leasing, construction and servicer reports.
  • Review client due diligence packages (including client investment memos, third-party reports, market information, sponsor financials, etc.).
  • Construct Asset Management Reports (AMR’s) and Asset Summary Reports (ASRs), with cash flow models.
  • Manage client relationships; duties include review and analysis of clients annual and quarterly financial statements (annual reports, 10-Ks, 10-Qs, etc.) to assess the financial strength and position of the client.
  • Credit analysis and investigation of existing and new prospective real estate clients and counterparties.
