About The Position

The purpose of the role is to establish and nurture profitable partnerships that contribute to the bank's growth and strategic objectives. This is achieved by acting as a liaison between the bank and its external partners, working to create mutually beneficial collaborations. The Assistant Vice President (AVP) will advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness. They will collaborate closely with other functions and business divisions, and if leading a team, will set objectives, coach employees, appraise performance, and determine reward outcomes. For individual contributors, they will lead collaborative assignments, guide team members, identify the need for other specializations, and identify new directions for assignments or projects. They will consult on complex issues, provide advice to People Leaders, identify ways to mitigate risk, and develop new policies/procedures. They will take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls, perform work closely related to other areas, and collaborate with other areas of work for business-aligned support. They will engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources to solve problems creatively and effectively, and communicate complex information, influencing or convincing stakeholders to achieve outcomes. Core duties involve supporting cross-functional teams, guiding cross-functional strategy execution, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving commercial growth. You will also oversee acquisition marketing operations across the total GAP portfolio - guiding intake, reporting, and go-to-market acquisition strategy for Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic and Athleta. You will coordinate across internal teams and external partners to execute acquisition campaigns, ensure compliance, and maintain consistent communication.

Requirements

  • Execution of market research activities to identify potential partners whose offerings and target markets meet the established criteria for selection, considers industry, experience and service quality, and ensuring that they contribute to the bank's strategic objectives through the alignment of partnership initiatives.
  • Assessment of the financial stability, reputation, and technological capabilities of potential partners to ensure they meet the bank's criteria for collaboration.
  • Collaboration with legal teams to support the development and negotiation process of agreements which clearly define the scope of collaboration, revenue sharing models, service levels, risk allocation and responsibility for each party.
  • Collaboration with internal teams and partnering teams to support the smooth integration of products and services, and the development of joint marketing/sales campaigns to enhance customer reach and experience across both organizations.
  • Evaluation of key performance indicators to measure the success of the partnership, identify areas for improvement, and make adjustments as needed.
  • Relationship management of their counterparts at partner organizations, fostering trust and open dialogue to address any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Internal consultations, sharing their market insights and industry knowledge with relevant departments within the bank.
  • Supporting cross-functional teams, guiding cross-functional strategy execution, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving commercial growth.
  • Overseeing acquisition marketing operations across the total GAP portfolio - guiding intake, reporting, and go-to-market acquisition strategy for Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic and Athleta.

  • Supporting multi-layered projects, including intake, governance, compliance, and review processes.
