About The Position

The AVP, Provider Platforms Channel (AVP, Product Management) leads Humana’s strategy and execution across provider products and services that are non-native to the EHR. This leader is accountable for the portfolio of provider-facing capabilities delivered through wholly owned applications, third-party, non-EHR partners, and other non-native solutions that may integrate with the EHR but are not native to it. The role spans portfolio strategy, internal product development, partnership evaluation, vendor management, and channel coordination to ensure Humana delivers and manages a coherent portfolio of provider products and services that improve experience, reduce burden, support operational outcomes, and create value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in digital health, provider solutions, platform strategy, interoperability, product management, strategic partnerships, or related functions, ideally in healthcare.
  • Demonstrated success managing provider-facing product or services portfolios, including internal capabilities and external partner solutions.
  • Experience evaluating external products and services, building business cases, and making portfolio decisions across build, buy, and partner options.
  • Strong understanding of provider operations, provider technology needs, interoperability, and healthcare platform ecosystems.
  • Experience managing executive relationships, roadmap alignment, and scaled solution delivery.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Prior experience leading provider-facing product, services, or platform strategy within a payer, health system, healthcare technology company, or comparable environment.
  • Experience aligning non-native provider products and services with native EHR, interoperability, or digital channel capabilities in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Familiarity with provider workflow tools, in-office solutions, and third-party operational services commonly used in provider organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution for provider products and services that are non-native to the EHR.
  • Own the portfolio of provider-facing capabilities delivered through wholly owned applications, third-party, non-EHR partners, and other non-native services that support provider workflows and operational needs.
  • Oversee areas of scope across the portfolio, including current and emerging provider-facing tools and services.
  • Evaluate the market for external partners, products, and services that could strengthen Humana’s provider offering and better meet provider needs.
  • Build and manage executive relationships with third-party partners to align priorities, improve performance, and expand value delivery.
  • Coordinate with internal teams responsible for native EHR, CMS & Direct, HIEs & Networks, and Relationship Channels to create a more seamless provider experience.
  • Ensure the portfolio creates measurable value for providers, operational value for Humana, and improved outcomes for members and beneficiaries.
  • Help shape the provider journey across owned and third-party platform capabilities so products and services work together as a coherent experience rather than a fragmented set of tools.
  • Define clear value propositions, positioning, and offering structures for provider products and services, including how those solutions complement or differ from native EHR-based capabilities.
  • Support packaging of provider capabilities into clear offerings, including contractable solutions where appropriate.
  • Partner with the growth team to improve provider distribution, adoption, and reach of platform and service offerings across priority provider segments.
  • Drive portfolio decisions across build, buy, partner, expand, or retire to keep the channel efficient, differentiated, and aligned to provider, enterprise, and market needs.
  • Define and manage KPIs for adoption, utilization, partner performance, provider value, operational value, and overall portfolio performance.
  • Partner across product, operations, technology, compliance, and business teams to ensure solutions are scalable, well-integrated, and operationally sound.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team across portfolio strategy, partner management, product execution, and channel growth.
