POSITION SUMMARY: Oceanview US Holdings Corporation is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our team as an Assistant Vice President. This role will be responsible for owning key accounting processes, leading financial reporting across multiple legal entities, and driving strategic initiatives that enhance the company’s accounting infrastructure and controls. This individual will serve as a key partner to senior management and play a leadership role in cross-functional projects, including system implementations and process improvements. The position is based in our midtown Manhattan office.

Requirements

BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
8–12+ years of relevant accounting experience (public accounting or insurance/financial services experience strongly preferred)
Experience with regulated entities and multi-entity structures a plus
Prior experience leading audits and managing external auditors a plus
Exposure to system implementations or transformations (e.g., NetSuite) preferred
Strong command of US GAAP and accounting concepts
Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Oracle, NetSuite, Splash BI, Blackline, and/or Clearwater Analytics preferred
Demonstrated ability to own processes end-to-end and operate independently
Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives and driving process improvements
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and present complex information clearly
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Own and oversee the preparation and review of monthly and annual US GAAP financial statements across multiple regulated insurance entities and consolidated structures
Serve as the primary liaison to Oceanview’s external auditors, leading all aspects of the annual audit process and ensuring a timely and successful completion
Drive accounting initiatives and system enhancements, including leading the Oceanview workstream for a firm-wide NetSuite implementation
Establish and enhance internal controls over financial reporting, partnering with internal audit to proactively identify and mitigate risk
Perform and review detailed financial analyses (MoM / YoY), investigate variances, and present insights to senior management
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, scalability, and accuracy across accounting workflows
Collaborate across teams, including finance, investment management, and operations, to support business initiatives and reporting needs
Mentor and develop junior team members, providing guidance, review, and support
Act as a key partner to senior leadership, contributing to strategic decision-making and special projects
