About The Position

Modern Exteriors is seeking an experienced and results-driven Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Outside Sales to help lead the day-to-day performance, development, and operations of our Outside Sales team. Working directly under senior sales leadership, the AVP is responsible for coaching and developing representatives, monitoring performance, managing daily sales operations, providing live deal support, and maintaining accountability across the office. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who understands sales numbers, recognizes trends, develops people, and knows how to take action before performance declines.

Requirements

Proven leadership experience in outside or in-home sales.
Strong sales coaching and team-development experience.
Ability to understand and manage sales KPIs and performance trends.
Strong closing, objection-handling, and negotiation skills.
Comfortable working with CRM platforms, performance dashboards, and Google Sheets.
Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
Ability to coach representatives while also holding them accountable.
Roofing, home improvement, or construction sales experience is required.
Ability to commute to Wilmington, DE 19809.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop Outside Sales representatives.
Monitor office performance numbers daily.
Track key sales metrics including close percentage, demo rate, cancellations, NSLI, PPS, deals, and revenue.
Use Power BI and company reporting tools to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Provide live T.O. coaching and support representatives during active sales opportunities.
Manage the daily sales schedule and ensure fair and effective lead distribution.
Maintain strong working knowledge of JobNimbus, including measurements, estimates, proposals, pricing, agreements, and deal submission.
Support representatives with financing options, approvals, dealer fees, and financing portal troubleshooting.
Conduct individual coaching sessions, team meetings, and performance reviews.
Participate in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and developing new representatives.
Maintain accurate pacing, scheduling, payroll, and performance tracking through Google Sheets and company systems.
Partner with HR and senior leadership on performance management, write-ups, and PIPs when necessary.
Communicate company expectations and process changes clearly and consistently.
Hold representatives accountable to company standards while maintaining a positive, performance-driven culture.
