About The Position

The AVP of Sales is responsible for the generation of new revenue and the supervision and support of the Cores Sales Management team.

Requirements

  • B.S. or B.A. or equivalent experience required.
  • Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record required.
  • 7 years of medical sales experience preferred.
  • Experience in the clinical and anatomical laboratory market preferred.
  • A proven track record of success in the sales field is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and supervise/manage assigned department, make decisions, solve problems, develop procedures, and conduct and attend meetings.
  • Manage the employee hiring process including developing and updating job descriptions, developing performance expectations, identifying essential functions and knowledge, skills and abilities required for applicable positions, and selecting and assigning staff.
  • Supervise/manage employee and team performance including coordinating activities, scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees.
  • Responsible for new employee orientation processes, employee training and continuing education.
  • Manage employee performance by coaching, counseling, motivating, and evaluating employees on a continual basis. Implement disciplinary action as needed and in consultation with Human Resources.
  • Ensure effective employee relations by sustaining an ethical, non-discriminatory and safe work environment and establishing effective communication lines and methods. Identify and solve employee problems, manage conflict, and respond to grievances as needed.
  • Provide operational insights and develop a core marketing plan in conjunction with other Regional Sales Managers, Territory Sales Managers and all Executive Management, while meeting and exceeding expectations in personal territory.
  • Develop new markets and set up new business accounts in both personal and reporting rep territories.
  • Work with Territory Account Managers to maintain existing accounts through shadowing, communicating and reviewing the Territory Account Manager activity reports. Spot checks made personally when in the territory to verify a relationship is built and has a strong foundation.
  • Serve on Marketing Committee.
  • Assist in development of marketing brochures and policy/procedure handbooks for Territory Sales Managers, Territory Account Managers prospective and current clients.
  • Discover and develop new needed services for core and specialty clients.
  • Responsible for sales, sales forecasting, quotas, budget process and meeting sales targets.
  • Support PathGroup’s mission, vision, goals and management decisions.
  • Work in tandem with other Regional Managers with regard to implementing special projects (i.e., blitzing weak territories, ride dates for training and sharing expertise, etc.) in their territories.
  • Assist in Sales and Marketing strategy for competing in new and existing core markets.
  • Perform all job responsibilities in alignment with the industry’s best security practices and regulatory guidelines to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected health information and other sensitive company data.
  • Must be familiar with and abide by the Corporate Compliance Program and all Corporate policies, including the Privacy and Security policies.
  • Work with other departments within PathGroup and subsidiaries.
  • Other duties as assigned.
