About The Position

Centra Credit Union is seeking an AVP HR Business Partnerships to join their team at their Corporate Headquarters in Columbus, Indiana. This role is a leadership, management, and individual contributor position responsible for Team Member Experience (TME) functions including Business Partner relations across all Lines of Business, Recruiting & Selection, and Performance Management. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a positive environment for all Team Members, aligning with Centra’s values and policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Related Field
  • Five to eight years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Directs business partnering with Team Members and Supervisors in assigned Lines of Business, providing information, coaching, and consulting on human resources topics.
  • Interacts with Centra Team Members to support departments, assess needs, provide problem resolution, and communicate/educate on TME related matters.
  • Enhances Team Member engagement, reduces turnover, and supports TME’s mission through business partnering and collaborative TME efforts.
  • Manages the recruitment and selection process, maintaining applicant tracking systems in compliance with employment laws, Centra policies, and TME procedures.
  • Coaches Hiring Managers and TME Business Partners on recruitment and selection, ensuring strong recruiting practices align with Centra’s culture, business needs, and goals.
  • Oversees the TME Business Partners' facilitation of orientation and onboarding, in collaboration with TME Training and Development, ensuring a quality onboarding experience.
  • Conducts investigations on accidents and incidents, keeping the Senior Vice President (SVP) of TME and Line of Business Leadership informed and collaborating on next steps and resolution.
  • Directs TME Business Partners and facilitates the Performance Management process, including communication, education, job profile development, goal planning, disciplinary action, performance improvement plans, and performance reviews, ensuring legal and Centra policy compliance.
  • Administers Team Member engagement activities for morale and recognition.
  • Compiles TME information for reporting, quality control, and audit purposes, contributing to and preparing for all audits of TME information to ensure compliance with employer-related regulations and Centra policies and TME procedures.
  • Supervises the day-to-day operations of TME Business Partners, including performance management, training, development, and cultivating Centra’s Vision, Mission, Culture, and Core Values.
  • Contributes to and supports TME-related projects, events, goals, and endeavors as directed by the SVP of TME, partnering with TME Training & Development and TME Operations.
  • Maintains ongoing communication with the SVP of TME regarding pertinent problems, irregularities, new developments, changes, and other important information within the area of responsibility.
  • Develops and updates TME procedures and recommends potential improvements or solutions to various departmental and Team Member experience issues.
