About The Position

Global X, a New York-based sponsor of Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), is seeking an ETF Product Development AVP to join our Product team. The AVP is expected to be a key contributor to the Product Development team, with a primary focus on evaluating and developing new ETF strategies and leading strategic product development initiatives, and a secondary focus on new product implementation. In addition, the AVP will conduct competitive landscaping and other market-based assessments and establish a strong understanding of the regulatory and operational considerations of developing and managing ETFs. The AVP will have additional opportunities to support Research, Portfolio Management, Marketing and Sales functions on items related to existing and new ETF strategies.

Requirements

  • 4-7 years of asset management and/or ETF industry work experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, statistics, economics, business or similar
  • Experience analyzing financial data across equities, fixed income and/or derivatives using various financial databases (Bloomberg, Morningstar, etc.)
  • Experience developing Excel models (market forecasting, P&L, etc.)
  • Proven success in demonstrating quantitative, analytical and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams (internal and external)

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate new ETF opportunities and contribute to index and/or active strategy design considerations for future ETF product development
  • Lead discussions with key stakeholders on the structuring and design of new passive products, including reviewing and providing feedback on exposures, index methodologies, and the competitive positioning of proposed and existing ETFs
  • Coordinate new product implementation and set-up with a cross-functioning group, which includes Compliance, Legal, Marketing, Portfolio Administration, Portfolio Management, etc.
  • Evaluate competitive landscape for new ETFs and provide insights for go-to-market strategy of new ETF launches
  • Conduct quantitative analyses in Excel that utilize data from third party platforms such as Bloomberg, Morningstar, etc.
  • Draft and review sections of prospectuses, board materials, and other critical fund documentation
