About The Position

Responsible for managing the long-term planning of the Airport Emergency Management Program by administering and facilitating actions to address the immediate and long-term impacts of irregular operations and disaster events, whether natural or human caused. Provide leadership and strategic direction to the airport community during irregular operations, incidents, and emergencies. Ensure the airport community is prepared to respond to, manage, and recover from incidents as safely and seamlessly as possible. Coordinate with Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (Aviation Authority) departments and airport community agencies to ensure emergency plans remain current, are exercised, and are followed during emergencies. Serve as a key member of the airport’s Incident Management Team (IMT) and as an airport liaison to local, state, and federal emergency management agencies. Provide guidance and supervision to staff to maintain safe, secure, and orderly operations during emergency events.
