About The Position

This role is essential in fostering a worship environment that magnifies the greatness of God and invites the congregation into meaningful engagement. Serving at all of Christ Chapel’s campuses, this role supports Christ Chapel’s production systems, events and services while assisting the Tech Arts team with programming, training, and projects. Christ Chapel’s Mission: “To stretch every involved person from the threshold of their spiritual pilgrimage toward becoming a fully-developing follower of Christ.” (Col 1:28-29) This role is designed to: Supply ministries of Christ Chapel with technical assistance for events and services at all campuses Aid the Technical Arts team in setups, troubleshooting and repairs of equipment Help organize all Technical Arts spaces at all campuses and maintain them Work with Tech Arts Specialists and assist them with projects Fill technical roles for on campus weddings and funerals

Requirements

Must be a Christian.
Must be living an “above reproach” lifestyle as outlined in the Bible and Christ Chapel’s Employee Handbook.
Must be committed to and supportive of the authority of the Elders, the pastoral staff, and the philosophy and direction of the church both in public and in private.
Must work scheduled hours each week as unto the Lord.
Must be a faithful steward of your work and time, with awareness that Christ Chapel employees are paid from the tithes and offerings of others.
This role is best suited for those with the gift of creativity and administration (Ex. 31:1-5; Rom 12; 1 Cor 12; Eph 4; 1 Pet 4)

Responsibilities

Fill technical roles for events and services assigned by the Technical Arts Director and aid in the maintenance of all production systems at all campuses
Develop a competency in lighting, audio, and video to support basic operations in all venues
Use independent judgement in worship services, events, and meetings for all audio, visual, and lighting elements
Stay current with the use and maintenance of Christ Chapel’s production equipment
Assist with maintaining production systems across all venues at all campuses
Participate in the building and setup of stage designs for events and services
Be present and actively engaged in staff meetings, departmental meetings, and home base meetings relevant to your role
Participate in general and role-specific trainings to enhance your professional knowledge and skills in production systems
Be a partner to the Technical Arts team to maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance production systems across all venues
Be flexible with working hours to support ministry needs, including events outside a typical schedule. Most weeks are predictable and repeatable, but our responsibility is to support ministries who can have events that do not fall within a 9-5 / Sunday - Thursday work week.
Must be available during Christmas and Easter weeks for additional events and services
Submit to the departmental decisions and authority of the Technical Arts Director
Ensure vacation requests are approved in advance, with awareness of service and event schedules that the entire team supports
