Avionics Test Engineer III – Lunar Core Components

BLUE ORIGIN•Seattle, WA
•$130,706 - $182,988

About The Position

As an Electrical Power Systems Test Engineer on the Lunar Core Components team within Blue Origin’s Lunar Permanence business unit, you will serve as the test engineer for one or more Electrical Power Systems products reused across multiple vehicles supporting human lunar missions. You will partner with Responsible Engineers to define test strategies, develop test plans and procedures, and execute development, risk reduction, qualification, and acceptance test campaigns. You will work with a multidisciplinary test team and interface with vehicle teams, NASA, and National Team Partners to ensure controllers meet performance, fault-tolerance, and safety objectives. Products supported may include power regulation, power distribution, battery systems, solar panels, and fuel cell technologies. The position includes bench bring-up and hardware characterization, Hardware-in-the-Loop testing where applicable, environmental qualification support, verification closure, anomaly resolution, and development of test infrastructure. The role also involves communicating test progress, risks, and results and applying lessons learned across the controller family. Blue Origin’s Lunar Permanence business unit develops Blue Moon landers and related products, with the goal of building sustainable infrastructure for transporting crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.
