About The Position

AirQuest Aviation is seeking a full time Avionics Technician for their Butler County location. The Avionics Technician will be responsible to perform operational checks, trouble shooting and repairs of avionics and electrical systems on general aviation aircrafts. This is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring work in a heavy manufacturing facility with various safety hazards which are potentially life-threatening to the employee. This position may require working at heights, around heavy equipment, and under constantly changing circumstances. This position will be subject to more stringent drug testing and compliance policies due to these safety risks. Some positions with the company will have access to confidential and proprietary information. Successful candidates for those positions will be required to sign our standard confidentiality agreement as a condition of employment.

Requirements

Must know and understand manufacturer's specifications, such as process manuals, or maintenance manuals related to specific job to be accomplished.
Must have own working tools.
Must be able to read, write and understand the English language.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Avionics: minimum of 5 years.
Two+ (2+) years' experience installing and troubleshooting Garmin equipment.
Must have prior experience performing FAR 91.411, 91.413 (24 month) inspections.

Nice To Haves

Preferred experience with Piston, Turboprop, and Light Jet Aircrafts.
Familiar with installing and troubleshooting general aviation equipment from manufacturers such as: Garmin, Honeywell, Rockwell Collins, Avidyne, and Aspen.

Responsibilities

Perform operational checks, trouble shooting and repairs of avionics and electrical systems on general aviation aircrafts.
Fabricate and install all wiring assemblies, static lines and associated mechanical equipment per drawings.
