This position will require you to work onsite. This is not a remote position. The role involves diagnosing faults and performing repair actions to restore Line Replaceable Units (LRUs), Shop Replaceable Units (SRUs), Test Measurement & Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE), Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), and special purpose test equipment to an operational condition. Responsibilities include diagnosing faults in test stations and Test Program Sets (TPS), taking required repair actions to restore electronic units or test stations, multi-conductor cables and wiring harnesses to fully operational and serviceable status in accordance with Work Control Documents (WCDs), and assisting in the validation/verification process to identify and determine faults inserted in new TPS prior to acceptance. The technician will review and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals, access the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) technical baseline and/or JEDMICS for drawings and specifications, and work directly with OEM points of contact. The role requires using various TMDE, performing self-devised fault analysis routines, training government personnel, performing in-depth analysis of test software, assisting in prototype and first article testing, performing in-depth technical analysis on weapons systems, setting up and operating fabrication equipment, certifying asset conditions prior to shipment, and repairing, modifying, troubleshooting, calibrating, aligning, and operating automatic test stations.
