About The Position

Wood is searching for an Avionics Technician with experience in the aviation industry. This role involves working safely and efficiently, assisting with technical problems, and troubleshooting, repairing, and installing avionics equipment. The technician will also be responsible for wire harness fabrication and must be capable of reading and interpreting wiring schematics. A strong understanding of FAR 91.411 and 91.413 is required. The role follows electrical codes, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other company-defined specifications. Maintaining accurate documentation of all work performed by entering it into a work management software program is also a key responsibility. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1-3 years of experience required
  • Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required
  • Must be well versed on FAR 91.411 and 91.413

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
  • 3-5 years’ experience preferred
  • FCC license
  • NCATTAET

Responsibilities
