The Avionics Technician installs, inspects, tests, adjusts, and repairs avionics equipment, including radio, radar, and navigation systems. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving avionics system issues using wiring diagrams and maintenance manuals, as well as planning and executing the installation of avionics assemblies and systems. The technician will operate ground support and test equipment, read and comply with maintenance manuals, and identify and repair discrepancies using manufacturer’s manuals. A basic understanding of electrical and electronics language and theory is required, along with the ability to perform skilled manual and technical work using various tools. The role also includes lifting and carrying tools, parts, and materials, working in various positions, following safety procedures, communicating effectively in English, and maintaining accurate records. Other duties as assigned may also be part of this role.
