About The Position

DPP is seeking an Avionics Technician IV for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace & Defense industry. This is a 12-month W2 position located fully onsite in Hagerstown, MD. Candidates must be eligible to earn a Secret US security clearance. As an Avionics Technician IV, you will use your skills and expertise to perform avionics maintenance according to FCC, FAA and company policies and regulations. You'll be responsible for moderately complex installation, testing, troubleshooting and repair of avionics components, and maintenance of test equipment, tools, and manuals.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience.
Must be able to demonstrate experience with terminating the following connector types: COAX CIR-MIL RJ-45 Network D-SUB.
Must have own tools in good working order.
Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex, technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.
Ability to route wires per technical drawings.
Advanced skills with moderately complex avionics installation tooling, wiring, wiring repair, wiring installation, soldering' and crimping techniques.
US Citizen.
Candidates must be eligible to earn a Secret US security clearance.

Nice To Haves

Experience with TRIAX, QUADRAX, Fiber-Optic assemblies, and El Ochito RF Connectors.
Familiarity with FCC and FCC GROL.
Ability to mentor and guide subordinates.
Basic understanding of spectrometer, oscilloscope, and/or pitot static equipment.
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military.

Responsibilities

Maintain test equipment, tools, and manuals.
