About The Position

This role is responsible for testing, troubleshooting and component level repair and modification of general aviation Avionics, Instruments and Accessories.

Requirements

At least 5 years of related experience in electronic repair.
Familiarity with Avionics equipment and systems.
Hands on experience in the use of electronic test equipment, hand and soldering tools and other measuring and recording devices.
Advanced knowledge of Analog and Digital Theory.
Basic knowledge of computers and software.
Strong analytical, interpersonal, verbal and writing communication skills to accurately document, report and assess situations and make judgments.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Ability to organize and plan work adhering to deadlines; attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality of information; excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy; ability to read, write, and understand the English language and to follow verbal and written instruction; multi-tasking a necessity; thorough knowledge of modern office practices and procedures; ability to type with accuracy and speed; ability to maintain a good working relationship with co-workers and to project a positive, concerned image to the public; ability to work without supervision; ability to adjust to rapidly changing circumstances and priorities.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair electronic circuits to component level.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics and technical orders.
Analyze malfunctions using electronic test equipment, schematics and technical publications.
Build test equipment utilizing approved design data and/or manufacturers drawings.
Complete all required paperwork related to repairs performed.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area on a daily basis.
