About The Position

This role involves identifying malfunctions, removing, repairing, and installing a limited variety of aircraft communication, navigation, and electrical components. The technician may be required to assist higher-grade technicians. The job requires a high school diploma, equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification to interpret assembly blueprints and apply shop math. A minimum of three months of electrical assembly or electrical installation experience is needed to apply shop electrical principles.

  • Requires a minimum three months electrical assembly or electrical install experience to be able to apply shop electrical principles.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis of routine electrical malfunctions according to standard shop practices using some equipment such as voltmeters, ohmmeters and continuity lights.
  • Perform minor repair such as replacing wires and connectors on standard electrical components.
  • Under guidance of supervisor, assist with analysis of more complicated malfunctions and repair of standard electrical components.
  • Install electrical and electronic components as directed.
  • Responsible only for own work.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
