About The Position

The Titration Tech I is responsible for executing chemical analysis tasks supporting aerospace component processing. This includes operating plating lines, conducting titration and chemical tests, maintaining tank chemistry, and ensuring compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations. This position supports production quality and process integrity through a combined technical role spanning chemical processing disciplines.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing or metal processing preferred
  • Basic mainframe computer systems and familiar with Spreadsheet and Word Processing software; Database systems
  • Ability to read and comprehend correspondence and basic technical procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to read code/machine language, write basic reports and instructions to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts and calculations: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, ratios and standard units of measurements.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and follow instructions in written and basic diagram formats.
  • Demonstrated application and execution of different problem-solving techniques while prioritizing workload, tasks and functions to internal &/or external situations.
  • No facial hair a NIOSH Approved Beard as pursuit to Cal/OSHA California Code or Regulations, Title 8, Section 5144(g)(1)(A) and pass an annual respirator fit test.
  • Analytical - Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses experience to complement data; understands the workflows and procedures.
  • Technical Skills – Technical skills in Quality Assurance and manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, assembly and inspection equipment; Good understanding of Geometric tolerance per ANSI Y145; Proficient in the use of Calipers, Micrometers, Height gages, ring gages, pin gages, go and no-go pin gages, optical comparator and microscopes; Reads and understands blueprints

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in aerospace plating or familiarity with NADCAP standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Performing a variety of tests (chemistry / titration, pH, conductivity, etc) on solutions and hazardous waste (waste water).
  • Maintain inventory for all chemicals related to job function.
  • Conduct titration, pH, and conductivity tests on plating tanks and hazardous waste solutions.
  • Maintain traceability of all chemical sampling and analysis results in logs and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with chemical tank maintenance and replenishment schedules.
  • Assist with tank chemical additions, new tank setups, and tank disposal coordination.
  • Interpret technical documents including blueprints, work instructions, and specifications.
  • Ensure all testing equipment is calibrated
  • Support continuous improvement in chemical processing quality.
  • Participate in safety and technical training related to chemical lab operations.
  • Work with Quality and Engineering for all NADCAP related topics.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Inspect and monitor equipment daily, report malfunctions to the Lead or Supervisor.
  • Ensure all tools and machines are operated safely and maintained in good working condition.
  • Follow blueprints, work instructions, and job travelers to ensure product quality.
  • Meet all internal and customer plating specifications and standards.
  • Identify and escalate any nonconformance issues or deviations in process.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions and plating specifications
  • Adheres and implements all company HSE policies, procedures, and practices.

  • Implements and suggests waste elimination initiatives specifically related to the function and department such as recycling opportunities and elimination of paper waste.
