About The Position

As part of a hardworking team, interns work directly with Blue engineering teams on projects in support of our business units. Avionics Software Intern projects vary but can include the design, development and testing of avionics hardware and software for programs ranging from orbital rockets, ground systems, test stands, to moon landers. During your internship experience, you can expect to: Gain hands on, real-world experience. Receive mentorship and feedback from mentors and managers. Participate in events to learn about other parts of our organization.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program and have at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship.
  • Available to work full time for 15 weeks while not concurrently enrolled in coursework.
  • Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for mission and vision.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant internship/co-op and academic project experience that demonstrate development of both technical skills as well as leadership qualities.
  • Hands-on project experience.
  • Experience with software verification & testing.
  • Exposure to CI/CD.
  • Software coding experience in one or more of the following: C, C++, Python, Java Script, Shell, Rust.
  • Experience with embedded software.
  • ARINC Standards, UML/SW Design.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team.
