About The Position

Responsible for the execution and confirmation of quality inspections as part of the production process with an emphasis on Aircraft Avionics and Electrical systems. This role involves preparing and performing various types of inspections during aircraft manufacture to ensure compliance with design specifications, customer requirements, and certification standards. The inspector will document all performed inspections and findings in relevant IT systems, support troubleshooting efforts, and participate in quality survey requests. Additionally, the role requires compiling technical data for non-conformances, documenting inspection results, and potentially auditing rework orders and workbooks for process adherence. Tracking components through the non-conformance process is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in an aviation company with an emphasis on Avionics and Electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of drawing systems, inspection plans, and inspection coordination.
  • Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods and tools used in the production line.
  • Handling and use of inspection tools of the length measuring techniques (mechanical, optical, electrical)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. Specifically, in English which is required operating in a multicultural and multifunctional environment.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant License including inspection authorization is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a Avionics role is highly desirable
  • Airline experience is desirable
  • A&P License (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Execute technical inspections in the production process of the aircraft in the context of the authorization of manufacturer operation
  • Prepare and perform visual, incoming, first article, final inspections during aircraft manufacture for compliance with design specifications, customers and certification requirements.
  • Document the technical inspections performed in the multiple production orders SAP-based and the relevant SAL-based IT systems by inspection marks and complete other aircraft documents as well as prepare first article inspection reports.
  • Support troubleshooting, Functional Test Procedures(FTPs) and participate in Quality Survey requests.
  • Compile all technical data of non-conformance in order to launch the NCMS-based quality discrepancy sheets for the professional assessment in accordance with the manufacturing engineering documentation.
  • Document all the results of the technical inspector in the FLEXNET/NCMS/SAP based IT system.
  • Attain skills to perform audits of Non-Conformance Rework Orders as part of the Material Review Board (MRB).
  • Perform audits/reviews of workbooks to validate PV approval and process adherence.
  • Track and maintain components during the Non Conformance process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
