Avionics Electrical Drafter

Stratolaunch•Mojave, CA
•$34 - $61•Onsite

About The Position

Stratolaunch is seeking an Electrical, Avionics Drafter at Level I, II, or III to support design, integration, testing, and maintenance of electrical and avionics systems for its carrier or hypersonic vehicles. The role develops engineering documentation for avionics subsystems, including wiring diagrams, harness drawings, system and subsystem drawing packages, and detailed part, assembly, and installation drawings. Work follows applicable industry and aerospace drafting standards, including ASME Y14, and uses 3D CAD models in 2D drawing environments. The drafter incorporates engineering and manufacturing redlines, supports avionics design and complex aerospace systems integration, and works across disciplines involved in design, purchasing, manufacturing, integration, and testing. The position also contributes to process-improvement documentation, communicates regularly with leadership, and may travel as needed (estimated at less than 5%). The role is based onsite in Mojave, California, and may involve operating company vehicles as part of assigned duties. The position is offered at one of three levels. Level I pays $33.65–$37.87 per hour and requires 2–4 years of engineering experience; Level II pays $38.46–$43.20 per hour and requires 4–6 years; Level III pays $43.27–$61.30 per hour and requires 6 or more years. Each level requires a bachelor’s degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Salary and leveling are determined case by case based on factors including location, education, skills, and experience.
