About The Position

The client is seeking an Electrical Engineer with a strong drafting background who is ready to advance into a full Electrical Engineering role. The position supports the design and development of electrical systems for multifamily and commercial construction projects while working alongside an experienced engineering team. The client offers hands-on training in BIM, 3D modeling, and estimating, as well as mentorship and opportunities for long-term career advancement. The position is on-site in Sandy Springs, Georgia, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Requirements

At least one year of drafting experience, preferably using AutoCAD or similar design software.
Strong interest in transitioning from drafting into a full Electrical Engineering role.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work on-site in Sandy Springs, Georgia, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Nice To Haves

Exposure to electrical design, electrical systems, or estimating.
Multifamily construction project experience.
Spanish-speaking ability.

Responsibilities

Assist with the design and drafting of electrical systems for multifamily and commercial buildings.
Support project engineers with electrical layouts, load calculations, and coordination with other disciplines.
Assist with project estimating, material takeoffs, and cost analysis.
Learn and apply BIM and 3D modeling tools to improve design accuracy and project efficiency.
Review construction plans and specifications for compliance with applicable codes and project requirements.
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other team members throughout the project lifecycle.
Communicate with internal teams and clients to support successful project execution.
