About The Position

Responsible for providing comprehensive Air Force aviation supply and logistics support for aircraft maintenance operations. Ensures the timely procurement, accountability, inventory management, receipt, storage, and distribution of mission-essential aircraft parts, equipment, and materials. Supports maintenance organizations through effective supply-chain and material-management practices while maintaining compliance with applicable Air Force Instructions (AFIs), Department of Defense (DoD) regulations, technical orders, safety requirements, and established logistics procedures. Utilizes Air Force supply and logistics systems, including Standard Base Supply System (SBSS), Enterprise Solution-Supply (ES-S), Integrated Logistics System-Supply (ILS-S), GCSS-Air Force, and other Air Force STAMIS applications. Performs FEDMALL procurement, offline/local purchases, and coordination with Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), GSA, contracting offices, transportation personnel, and commercial vendors to resolve critical supply shortages and support aircraft maintenance and mission readiness.

Requirements

  • Experience coordinating offline/local purchases and resolving urgent or mission-critical supply requirements.
  • Experience working with DLA, GSA, contracting offices, transportation organizations, and commercial vendors.
  • Experience performing inventory management, warehouse operations, property accountability, and supply reconciliation.
  • Experience handling aircraft parts, support equipment, hazardous materials, serialized assets, and controlled or high-value property in accordance with applicable requirements.
  • Ability to operate warehouse and material-handling equipment, including forklifts, as required.
  • Working knowledge of Air Force, DoD, and applicable supply, safety, environmental, hazardous-material, and technical-order requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • Extensive knowledge of Air Force aviation supply and logistics operations supporting aircraft maintenance is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Air Force STAMIS applications, including SBSS, ES-S, ILS-S, and GCSS-Air Force.
  • Thorough knowledge of FEDMALL procurement, DLA procurement procedures, offline/local purchasing, and government purchase-request processes.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, property accountability, warehouse operations, material control, asset visibility, and supply-chain management.
  • Ability to research and resolve supply discrepancies, rejected transactions, system exceptions, and inventory variances.
  • Ability to analyze historical demand, usage data, stock levels, and supply transactions to identify trends and recommend inventory adjustments.
  • Knowledge of bench stock, shop stock, repair-cycle asset management, retrograde operations, and excess-property procedures.
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, transportation documentation, packaging requirements, and hazardous-material handling.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with aircraft maintenance personnel, DLA, GSA, contracting offices, Transportation Management, and commercial vendors.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation in preparation for inspections, audits, and accountability reviews.
  • Knowledge of Air Force safety, environmental, hazardous-material, technical-order, and quality-assurance requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and standard administrative and reporting functions.
  • Ability to prioritize competing requirements, resolve time-sensitive supply issues, and support mission-critical operational requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains accurate supply accountability, inventory records, stock levels, property records, and audit documentation in accordance with Air Force and DoD supply regulations.
  • Processes requisitions, receipts, issues, turn-ins, due-ins, due-outs, and other supply transactions using SBSS, ES-S, ILS-S, GCSS-Air Force, and applicable STAMIS applications.
  • Manages bench stock, shop stock, repair-cycle assets, and other material supporting aircraft maintenance operations.
  • Executes FEDMALL procurement actions to source mission-essential parts, equipment, and materials from DLA and approved government suppliers.
  • Coordinates offline and local purchase requests for urgently required mission-critical parts when standard supply channels cannot meet operational requirements or timelines.
  • Coordinates with DLA, GSA, contracting offices, maintenance organizations, transportation personnel, and commercial vendors to expedite critical requirements and resolve supply shortages.
  • Reviews and reconciles shipping documents, purchase requests, contracts, packing lists, bills of lading, and related documentation to ensure transaction and inventory accuracy.
  • Receives, inspects, identifies, stores, packages, and distributes aircraft parts, support equipment, hazardous materials, and other supplies in accordance with applicable Air Force and DoD standards.
  • Maintains warehouse organization, stock locator systems, shelf-life programs, controlled storage areas, and material-handling procedures.
  • Conducts cyclic and annual inventories, location surveys, property accountability inspections, and discrepancy research and resolution.
  • Maintains controlled inventory, high-value assets, serialized equipment, and classified or sensitive property accountability.
  • Processes document control actions, rejected documents, system exceptions, and transaction discrepancies; researches and corrects errors to maintain accurate supply records.
  • Coordinates retrograde shipments, reparable assets, excess property disposition, and equipment turn-in procedures.
  • Conducts historical and transactional research to identify supply trends, recurring shortages, usage patterns, and potential supply-chain issues.
  • Recommends stock-level adjustments based on historical demand, usage data, mission requirements, and operational priorities.
  • Supports deployment and mobility requirements by preparing cargo, equipment, documentation, and supplies for shipment.
  • Operates forklifts, warehouse equipment, and government vehicles as required to support supply operations.
  • Ensures compliance with Air Force safety, environmental, hazardous-material, quality-assurance, and technical-order requirements.
  • Prepares logistics reports, reconciliations, inventory documentation, and supporting records for inspections, audits, and management reviews.
  • Performs additional aviation supply, logistics, warehouse, procurement, and material-management duties as assigned in support of aircraft maintenance and mission readiness.
