About The Position

Crown Innovations is seeking an experienced Aviation Software Verification & Test Engineer to support the development, verification, and certification of advanced aviation navigation systems. The role performs functional, system, performance, and hardware/software integration testing for safety-critical avionics applications. The engineer develops and executes test cases, scripts, procedures, and verification activities to evaluate system performance against technical and certification requirements. The position requires deep experience with DO-178C software verification and certification, avionics software and hardware testing, requirements-based verification, and safety-critical aviation systems. The engineer independently analyzes requirements, develops verification approaches, executes tests, evaluates results, documents anomalies, and produces certification-quality verification evidence. Hands-on SCADE experience, strong Java development experience, and familiarity with avionics certification and aircraft safety analysis are also required. This is a remote position requiring availability during Eastern Time business hours, with travel of up to 10% to support program activities, technical reviews, integration, testing, or customer needs. The engineer collaborates closely with software, systems, hardware, certification, and program engineering teams. The listed annual salary range is $100,000 to $150,000, with final compensation based on job-related factors. Crown Innovations supports government and commercial clients, including the FAA and NASA, and works on aviation safety, National Airspace System modernization, and other significant programs.
